OUR HISTORY

Pastor Jimmy received the call to pastor years ago, but it would be many years before the call would be fulfilled. In the mean time, he served as a youth pastor for nearly 25 years. In late March of 2006, he received a call about using a building for a church. After meeting with the owners of the building, the Cave was born.

With the help of a few families, the first service at the Cave was held on June 4, 2006.

Our desire is to provide a place where people who are in distress, debt and discontent can experience the reality of Jesus Christ through love in action. Pastor Jimmy often says that “real people need a real Jesus.”

The only way people will know that Jesus is real is by demonstrating His love to the world (John 13:35).

The Cave is named from the account of David in 1st Samuel chapter 22 when David had went into the cave of Adullam. Verse 2 says; 2 All those who were in distress or in debt or discontented gathered around him and he became their commander… Those who came out of the cave became known as the mighty men of God. Our vision at the Cave is that all who enter leave as warriors for Christ!
